The city of Aberdeen is releasing information about a cyberattack that affected a public works networks on October 1st. City Administrator Ruth Clemens said when the IT department noticed the threat, systems were taken offline to ensure no further immediate attacks. Clemens added there was no evidence of any personal data being stolen and there was never an interruption in city services. This is an active investigation that involves the FBI and Secret Service.
