The Grays Harbor PUD has released a statement in response to a draft report from Governor Jay Inslee and Senator Patty Murray supporting the hydro-electric dam removals. The Grays Harbor PUD says they continues to support hydroelectricity as a clean, affordable and a reliable resource to provide service to customers and that removing the dams on the Snake and Columbia Rivers threatens the PUD’s mission to serve the community. The governor and senator released that statement last week saying the dams are pushing salmon and steelhead to extinction.
