A homeless man injuries two Ocean Shores police officers while being taken into custody this week. The incident happened Tuesday evening when police were called out for reports that the man, who is well known to police, was trespassing at a church. Although he was gone by the time cops arrived, a patrol officer spotted the man on a bicycle later that evening. When officers tried to take him into custody, a struggle ensued, and the suspect grabbed an officers TASER and ran off with it. With the help of The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department and a k-9 unit, the suspect was found in the woods. While placing him under arrest, the man reportedly bit one officer and hurt another officer’s wrist. He now faces multiple charges including resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
