Officials say most of the problems came from trees hitting power lines
Grays Harbor saw more power outages than usual last year, and it wasn’t hard to figure out why. The PUDs annual outage report says a stretch of rough storms, some lasting days, pushed outage numbers above average and kept crews busy across the county. Officials say most of the problems came from trees hitting power lines, even with regular trimming work. On top of that, the utility rolled out a new tracking system that gives more detailed outage data. Looking ahead, they say that the system should help crews respond faster and keep customers in the loop.
