The new year is bringing a changing of the guard for Grays Harbor County’s top prosecutor. County commissioners have appointed Georgia Stearns as acting prosecuting attorney after Norma Tillotson resigned at the end of the year. The transition also comes as deputy prosecutor and chief of staff Cielia Thurston stepped down after several years with the office. The interim prosecutor will be required to run in the next election cycle.
