Police officers in Ocean Shores are trading patrol cars for ice cream tomorrow during a community event.

Police officers in Ocean Shores are trading patrol cars for ice cream tomorrow during a community event called “Scoops with the Troops.” The gathering happens from 5pm until 6:30pm at The Peppermint Parlor on Point Brown Avenue Northeast. Residents will have a chance to meet the police chief and local officers in an informal setting designed to encourage conversation and community connection. Organizers say the event is all about building relationships in a relaxed atmosphere.
