Community leaders say the region is making progress.
There's some encouraging news about the Grays Harbor County economy. The Daily World reports a new State of Grays Harbor report from Greater Grays Harbor shows unemployment is down, wages are up, and retail spending remains strong. The report also found home prices and total employment both declined over the past year. Community leaders say the region is making progress, but housing and finding qualified workers remain major challenges. The county also moved out of Washington's top five for highest unemployment.
