Safety concerns will delay the opening of two popular campgrounds in the Olympic National Forest this summer. Following recent safety inspections, it was determined that both the Willaby and Falls Creek Campgrounds along Lake Quinault have numerous trees that present a hazard to visitors. As of now both of those campgrounds are closed to the public and reservations for this summer are no longer being accepted. Those people who already have reservations have been contacted. Park officials are still deciding the best course of action for removing those trees. Most other campgrounds at the park will open in May.
