It should start to look a bit brighter in Aberdeen after county commissioners approved several grant requests for beautification projects around town. The Downtown Aberdeen Association will receive funds to put of Christmas lights this season in downtown and for an electronic message board that will go on the Becker building to help promote events and activities in our area. Our Aberdeen will get money to update brochures promoting local art and money to install lighting at the four downtown Murals so they can be seen at night. The Christmas lights and electronic message sign should be installed by the first of December.
