This week marks National Police Week, a time when law enforcement agencies pause to honor officers lost in the line of duty and recognize those still serving every day. The Grays Harbor & Mason County sheriff’s departments say it’s also a chance to reflect on the difficult and often dangerous work deputies and officers continue to do in local communities. Officials say the week highlights not just sacrifice, but also the ongoing effort to build trust and keep people safe. Community members are being encouraged to show support for law enforcement and remember the officers who never made it home.
