Ocean Shores Police Department Hoping For A New Station

Voters will be asked to approve up to $12 million in bond to build the new facility and will pay for that through a tax levy.

Ocean Shores Police Department will is requesting funds from voters for a new police station in the
upcoming November elections. Voters will be asked to approve up to $12 million in bond to build the
new facility and will pay for that through a tax levy. The current station was built in 1990 and was meant
to be temporary. The station does not have a space to interrogate suspects, and anyone arrested
cannot be left in the stations holding area for more than 6 hours due to their size. You can take an
online video tour of the current facility done this week by North Beach Community TV and learn why a
new station is needed. A ink to that video is on our website.
