Washington is less dependent on federal aid than most states. That's according to a new WalletHub study. It put the Evergreen State 49th on a list ranking most dependent state to least dependent state. based on two key factors: the residents' dependency on federal funds and the share of state revenue that comes from the federal government. Alaska was found to be the most dependent on federal aid, while Washington State was beat out by New Jersey which ranked dead last.
