An Aberdeen man dies when his motorcycle hits a dump truck this week. The wreck happened Tuesday
afternoon on State Route 5 at South Montesano Street. According to a Washington State Patrol report,
the 76-year-old on a Harley was behind the dump truck headed south on 105 when the dump truck
slowed to make a right turn. The motorcyclist tried to pass up the truck on the shoulder and hit the
truck that was making the turn. EMS took the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No
other injuries were reported and the man’s name was being withheld until next of kin was notified.
