The death of a 17-month-old girl found in a car near Shelton last week has been ruled a homicide. The Mason County Coroner says Jennavieve Brown died from ligature strangulation, according to results from a July 3 autopsy. Deputies found the toddler on July 1, hidden under blankets on the front passenger floorboard after stopping a disoriented woman near Catfish Lake Lane. That woman is now in the Mason County Jail, suspected of first-degree murder.
