An early morning fire destroyed an RV and badly damaged a nearby home in the Old Willapa area of North Pacific County on Saturday. The male resident escaped after being awakened by cracking sounds from the heat and was later treated for burned eyebrows. Fire crews arrived around 7:26 a.m. and brought the blaze under control by 8:10, but not before it caused major damage to the home’s east side. The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
