Local firefighters are heading east to help battle a large wildfire near Walla Walla.

Local firefighters are heading east to help battle a large wildfire near Walla Walla. Hoquiam Fire says two of its members deployed early Sunday to the Highway 730 Fire, which has grown to more than 3,600 acres. The response includes crews from Aberdeen, Montesano, East Grays Harbor, and other regional departments. Fire officials say the team will support ongoing firefighting efforts as the blaze continues to burn. You can read updates and see photos at the Hoquiam Fire Facebook page
