The U.S. Supreme Court has denied a petition that argued that disputed ownership of Lake Quinault.  In October of last year, a landowner filed the petition saying their property also gave them ownership of 75 feet of shoreline.  The petition added that when The Quinault Nation closes the lake to the public, that denies the landowner their rights as non-tribal members.  Last week the Supreme Court Denied the petition to revoke lake ownership by the Quinault Nation.  On multiple occasions court rulings have confirmed the ownership a part of treaty rights.
