One Of America's Least Expensive Beach Towns Is Right Here In Grays Harbor

There aren't too many things that are inexpensive and cheap these days and when it comes to housing and places to live in general, when it comes to beach towns...it's practically non existent. But not so fast...because according to this article in Apartment Therapy, Aberdeen made the list of most affordable in the United States and the only one on the West Coast coming in at #11 with a median housing price of $298,983.

As of this past summer, the average price for a single family home in Washington was around $574,000.

Is Aberdeen perfect? Far from it but it's kind of cool to see us make a nice list like this.

The article highlighted some reasons for choosing Aberdeen in addition to the affordable housing;

The only West Coast contender, Aberdeen, is located at the mouth of Grays Harbor, formed by the Chehalis, Wishkah, and Hoquiam rivers in Washington. It offers a variety of parks; a popular spot is the Kurt Cobain Memorial Park, named in memory of the late Nirvana musician who was born here. After a day outside, stop into one of the town’s many coffee shops for a pick-me-up."
