An email that looked like it came from PayPal.
Another e-mail scam alert from the Ocean Shores Police Department. A social media post says another resident fell victim to a scam that cost them money. An email that looked like it came from PayPal told the victim their account had been compromised and included a phone number to call to resolve the matter. The scammer then convinced the victim to gibe remote access to their computer. That led to an overpayment scheme that cost the victim money. Read more about the scam and how to avoid it at the Ocean Shores Police Facebook page.
