City Of Aberdeen Paving 4 Streets Starting Today

The City of Aberdeen will be paving 4 streets starting today and the work will go until Wednesday
October 12 th . Today Fordney Street will be paved with traffic on Boone Street near Fordney reduced to
just 2 lanes. Flaggers will need to stop traffic in both directions at times to turn the asphalt trucks
around to back down Fordney. Rogers Street will also have paving work done today. Tomorrow Bench
Drive will get paved from Wishkah rd. to Rustic Way. Wednesday Aberdeen Ave from Thornton to
Martin will be paved. Expect closures, traffic revisions and delays all 3 days. Paving begins around 7am
each morning. Updates are expected later today on a new wildfire that was reported Sunday night in
Clark County. The Nakia Creek Fire is in the large mountainous area of the county, north of Camas and
was estimated to be about 70 acres as of last night. The DNR says air resources will be assigned first
thing this morning. Officials have not said how it started.
