Expect police to use their discretion when enforcing the ordinance.
At a recent Cosmopolis City Council meeting, the recent Supreme Court ruling on camping in public places was up for discussion on how it could affect the city. The City Council chose to modify its ordinances. The Daily World reported that the change added sleeping bags to the list of items people could not sleep in alongside tents and RV’s. Mayor Pro Temp Kim Skinner said he expected the police to use their discretion when enforcing the ordinance.
