A Westport man may not have died at the hand of his father. The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s department updated a death investigation after a 35-year-old man died last Monday following an altercation with his father. At the time, investigators believed the man’s death may have been caused by something the father did during the fight and arrested the dad on murder charges. Preliminary results from an autopsy now show the victim had a medical event during the fight that may have lead to his death. The father has been released and detectives are waiting for the final coroner’s report before they decide on possible charges.
