The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s office is leading an investigation into a deputy involved shooting in Thurston County on the 4th of July. According to details released by the Thurston County Sheriff’s office, on Tuesday afternoon 9-1-1 dispatch received a call from a man saying police needed to respond before he killed someone. The man then hung up on dispatchers. When two deputies arrived at the home, a man answered the door and pointed a weapon at deputies. One deputy fired several rounds at the man, causing minor injuries. The Region 3 Critical Incident Investigative Team, led by the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s office, is investigating the shooting.
