A 39-year-old Hoquiam man is in custody after police say he intentionally set fire to a four-unit apartment building early Saturday morning. The fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. on Simpson Avenue while all units were occupied. Witness tips helped investigators identify the suspect, who was arrested later that day. He’s now charged with first-degree arson and being held at the Grays Harbor County Jail.
