The Mason County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 2,200 calls for service in July, an increase of 135 from June.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 2,200 calls for service in July, an increase of 135 from June. That included 47 thefts, 25 assaults, 12 burglaries and 16 DUIs, while 84 people were booked into the county jail. The department’s litter crew also hauled more than 14,000 pounds of trash off county roads. And the Civil Division served 244 papers and handled 218 public disclosure requests.
