One Pacific County Fire Department Gets New Radios

One Pacific County Fire department now has enough radios to communicate in an emergency thanks to a generous donation from out of state.

One Pacific County Fire department now has enough radios to communicate in an emergency thanks to a generous donation from out of state. When Communications Northwest was contracted to do a “state of radios” study to look at departmental communications in the county it was discovered Bay Center Fire Department did not have the minimum standard of radio equipment to effectively communicate during calls. Recently the Lewis and Clark Volunteer Fire Department in Clatsop County Oregon donated 7 radios and just yesterday the Bay Center Fire Chief picked up the new equipment. Officials are sending out a thank you to the first responders from Oregon for their generosity and to the folks at Communications Northwest for helping to facilitate the new radios.
