Timberland Regional Library Voters To Decide On Property Tax Increase

If approved, the average homeowner would pay about $53 more per year beginning in 2027.

Timberland Regional Library voters will decide this November whether to approve a property tax increase to help keep library services running at current levels. The library board has placed a levy lid lift on the ballot that would raise the tax rate to 35 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. Library leaders say the measure would help close a $3.8 million budget shortfall, restore staffing and hours, and prevent future service cuts. If approved, the average homeowner would pay about $53 more per year beginning in 2027.
