The USDA Forest Service is asking for the public’s help in finding out who or what started the Bear Gulch Fire near Lake Cushman. The fire started the evening of Sunday, July 6, along FS-24 near the Bear Gulch Day Use Area in Olympic National Forest. Investigators are urging anyone who was in the area that day to share information that might aid the case. Tips can be submitted by calling 541-618-2154. That number along with information to send email tips can be sent to SM.FS.R6TipHotLine@usda.gov with “Bear Gulch” in the subject line.
