At least 74 candidates in Grays Harbor have already filed to run for one of 41 open offices during the first day of filing week. One of the more notable filings was by Aberdeen resident Leon Lawson, who filed to run for governor. Lawson announced last summer he would be running for governor but at the time he filed with the PDC he showed a Mason County address. Lawson ran for governor in 2020 and for senate in 2022. 79 people filed to run for an open office so far in Pacific County. The filing week deadline is this Friday, May 10th at 5pm.
