Hoquiam city leaders approve the purchase of land that will allow the city to continue with its long-term revitalization plans. At this week’s meeting, city administrator Brian Shay recommended three properties that are owned by Emert City LLC, two of which are downtown. A report says those locations are a key part of Hoquiam’s Downtown and Olympic Stadium Revitalization Plan that was developed in 2021. The purchase price of $1.35 million was also approved and will come out of the city’s general fund.
