A Clark County youth football league has pulled one of its coaches after learning he was a registered sex offender. Officials say tips from the community led them to the state’s offender registry, where the coach’s name was confirmed. The discovery prompted the board to tighten its background checks, now including the sheriff and police chiefs’ database along with the usual State Patrol review. Every current coach has been screened again under the tougher rules.
