Authorities in Mason County have seized over 500 roosters bred for illegal cockfighting in a multi-agency operation led by the Mason County and Thurston County Sheriff’s Offices. Detectives, along with animal welfare groups, worked together to safely capture and contain the birds. The investigation is ongoing as officials crack down on illegal animal fighting in Western Washington.
