An agreement has been reached to allow the terminal 4 expansion at the Port of Grays Harbor. The port has announced an agreement with the Quinault Indian Nation over treaty rights to allow the expansion and redevelopment project to move forward. The agreement will include a cash payment for construction that will interrupt river fishing, along with a property lease extension in Westport. With the agreement reached, the permitting process can begin and should be finished by the end of summer. Construction is expected to last several years.
