The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Depart ment is sending out a warning after the bomb squad had to be called out Friday for a possible Improvised Explosive Device. County authorities say on Friday a Weyerhaeuser employee found what looked like an IED near the A-line logging road gate off of the Middle Satsop Road outside of Montesano. The Sheriff’s department responded and called in the State Patrol Bomb Unit. Authorities determined the device was not real but designed to look real. They warn anyone who sees something suspicious do not pick it up or move, but instead call 9-1-1. You can see a photo of the device found at the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’ Department Facebook page.
