The state of Washington has awarded over $125,000 in grant funds to local organizations that lost big money from missed festivals and other events due to the pandemic.
The state of Washington has awarded over $125,000 in grant funds to local organizations that lost big money from missed festivals and other events due to the pandemic. Arts-WA and the Washington Festival and Events Association worked with the state commerce department to award over $3 million to “legacy events” in 200 counties. Locally, The City of Montesano ,The Worlds Kite Museum & Hall of Fame and The Grays Harbor Historical Seaport were 3 of the 10 local groups that received funds that are intended to help restart events canceled in 2020 and 2021.
