The move will allow operations at Stevens Pass Ski Resort to resume.
The Washington State Department of Transportation was set to reopen this morning a 20-mile stretch on the east side of U.S. Highway 2 between Leavenworth (near milepost 85) and Stevens Pass. The move will allow operations at Stevens Pass Ski Resort to resume. Motorists should expect to follow a detour and a pilot car through the area. Highway 2 was closed earlier this month after stormwater and debris washed out several sections of the roadway. Governor Bob Ferguson is expected to provide an update on the west side of the highway tomorrow.
