The City Council has selected Audon Allen, a senior at Harbor Learning Center, as Aberdeen’s first-ever Student Council Representative. Audon, a resident of Aberdeen for two years, has shown remarkable progress by raising his GPA, catching up on credits, and even positioning himself to graduate early. As the Student Representative, he will attend workshops and Council meetings twice a month, offering insights on youth-related issues and fostering collaboration between students and city officials. Human Resources Director Dani Smith praised Audon as a "kind and open person" who works hard to achieve results. Sworn in at last night’s meeting, Audon’s term officially begins on January 8, 2025.
