Aberdeen Classes Back In Session After Threat Suspect Identified And Arrested

District officials released a statement yesterday saying two messages were posted to the high school’s TikTok account this weekend.

Classes are back in session today for all Aberdeen schools after district officials say a juvenile suspect has
been identified and arrested. District officials released a statement yesterday saying two messages
were posted to the high school’s TikTok account this weekend. One saying “I’m bringing a gun to school
on Monday.” A second post warning students to not go to school on Monday. The superintendent
decided to canceled classes Sunday evening when a suspect had not been identified yet. Aberdeen
Police Chief Dale Green said he hopes the quick response sends a message to everyone that law
enforcement takes the posting of online threats very seriously.
