Aberdeen police catch a suspected car thief, thanks to some help from residents. On Monday Afternoon Aberdeen Police response to a suspicious person in the Walmart parking lot.  By time cops arrived, the man had already left in a stolen car.  When officers spotted the driver, they tried ot stop him, but he took off, driving recklessly and at high speed.  Per the new law in Washington, officers did not give chase.  Witnesses began calling police giving the location of the stolen car.  When officers responded, they found the man recognized as the driver and arrested him. The 42-year-old Tacoma man was charged with vehicle theft and Felony Eluding Arrest.  TH car was later returned to the owner.
