Planning is being funded by grants; construction would need money from the state.
Recommendations from a Seismic safety plan were discussed recently at a town hall put on by Aberdeen Schools. Aberdeen Co-Superintendents Lynn Green and Traci Sandstrom hosted the event to talk about new school construction under a capital program funded by the state to get schools out of the inundation zone. Professional recommendations included moving four schools completely and retro-fitting three schools. Planning is being funded by grants; construction would need money from the state.
