A would-be burglar in Aberdeen is caught with the help of the family dog. Aberdeen police say officers were called out to a home on Council Crest Wednesday night after a call about a man breaking into their home. The homeowner was alerted to a man crouching on the porch by their barking dog. Police say when they told the man to leave, he went around to the side garage door, forced his way in and attempted to steal a car. That’s when cops arrived and placed the man under arrest. He faces several charges for the burglary, attempted auto theft and for drug possession.
