APD Buys New Drone

The drone was paid for by a grant from the Grays Harbor Community Foundation.

The Aberdeen Police Department has bought its first drone. In a social media post the department says the drone can help with investigative methods, assisting with search and rescue operations, crime scene photography, and providing real-time and on-site information to responding officers of critical incidents.  The officers selected to operate the drone will be required to attend training and meet FAA certification requirements.  The drone was paid for by a grant from the Grays Harbor Community Foundation.
