A natural gas company has received approval to run a new gas pipe under the Wishkah River in Grays Harbor.

A natural gas company has received approval to run a new gas pipe under the Wishkah River in Grays Harbor. At their recent meeting, the county’s planning and zoning commission granted approval for Cascade Natural Gas’ Wishkah Road Pipeline Reinforcement project. That project will run almost 2 miles of new natural gas pipeline underneath Wishkah and East Wishkah roads, while boring 10 feet under the river. The project, that is needed to meet the growing demand in Aberdeen, will start this summer and should take about three months to complete.
