It’s primary day in Western Washington with a lot on the ballot. There are mayoral runoffs in several cities including Aberdeen and Westport as well as city council races that will be narrowed down to the top two vote getters for the November election. There’s also the Elma replacement levy that provides funding for the police department. The department reminds voters this is a replacement for the levy already in place and set to expire at the end of this year and that approving it will not raise taxes. Official ballot drop boxes are open until 8pm tonight and preliminary results will be ready tomorrow.
