Authorities say early yesterday, an explosion and fire were reported in Hoodsport with witnesses saying a man was seen running from location.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Department wants you to be on the lookout for suspected arsonist. Authorities say early yesterday, an explosion and fire were reported in Hoodsport with witnesses saying a man was seen running from location. The man was identified as Jacob Rivera and efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful. Mason County Sheriff’s investigators have posted Rivera’s photo on the department’s Facebook page. You’re asked to take a look and if see him, officials say “do not approach him” but instead call 9-1-1.
