An official cause of death has now been released for the woman found on the beach north of Ocean Shores last month.

An official cause of death has now been released for the woman found on the beach north of Ocean Shores last month. 39 year old Itzel Perez drowned after waves swept over her vehicle. Deputies found her facedown near the Damon Road access on Nov. 20, and investigators say it was a tragic accident, not a public safety concern. They also say her case isn’t connected to an October discovery of remains from 51 year old Annie Fears of Tacoma, a separate investigation for that is still open.
