Fire Chief Kenny Ward was sworn in this month as the new chief of the department.

East Grays Harbor Fire & Rescue has a new leader. Fire Chief Kenny Ward was sworn in this month as the new chief of the department. Chief Ward has been in the fire service since 1981 and has worked as a fire fighter and fire chief in Kansas, Texas and most recently Oklahoma. Ward told The Daily World he wants to gets funding for another paid staff member and increase volunteer firefighter numbers. Fire Chief Ward is replacing Chief Adam Fulbright
