Aimed at stopping unsafe driving before a crash happens.
As the summer heats up, so do the number of motorcycles on the road. That’s why Washington State Patrol, the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s office, and numerous city police departments are teaming up for extra safety patrols aimed at stopping unsafe driving before a crash happens. Data from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission shows that from 2018 through 2022, motorcycles made up just 3 percent of the registered vehicles on Washington’s roads but accounted for 16 percent of all traffic fatalities.
