Flooding is forcing the temporary closure of two boat local launches. Grays Harbor Scanner reports the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife shut down the South Montesano and Chehalis River - Oakville launches due to erosion and damage caused by high water. Officials say they hope to reopen the sites once repairs are completed and it’s safe to do so. In the meantime, boaters are asked to follow posted closures and use other access points.
