The longtime head of the Port of Grays Harbor announced Tuesday.
The longtime head of the Port of Grays Harbor is retiring. At Tuesday’s commissioners meeting, Port of Grays Harbor Executive Director Gary Nelson announced he will be retiring in 2024. Nelson was named Executive Director in 2000, when the port had 21 vessel calls handing 85,000 metric tons. By the end of the year, the Poret of Grays Harbor is expedited to have 100 vessel calls handling 3 million metric tons.
